该片由四个单元组成，分别是《军属》《遗嘱》《抉择》《生命大接力》。《军属》讲述解放军军官侯泽刚率队到国外执行维和任务后，他怀孕即将分娩的妻子吴秀芬查出患癌症，腹中的二孩刚出生就夭折，吴秀芬对丈夫隐瞒实情，顽强地抗击病魔和抚养7岁的大儿子，让丈夫在国外安心执行维和任务的故事；《遗嘱》讲述双拥模范许大周一家几十年如一日祭奠革命烈士的故事；《抉择》讲述双拥模范郑尚德一家三代人守护烈士陵园几十年的故事；《生命大接力》讲述县武装部政委边文军救助受重伤生命垂危的贫困女孩小刘梅的故事。
好像一切都很糟糕
Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 1）魔术师但丁依靠神秘的斗篷在时尚都会挣下超高的人气，但是斗篷中藏着可怕的秘密，但丁则用录像记录下了一切。直到某天助理斯卡莉特将录像带交给警方，一切昭然若揭；2）野生科学家阿方索制造了一个连通平行空间的大门，他和另一个世界的自己交换空间，到对方的世界进行15分钟的探险，却发现彼此的世界有着天壤之别。3）三个热衷做极限运动的年轻人偶然来到一处画着神秘图案的场所玩耍，不知不觉中遭到一群恐怖之人的包围和袭击；夜幕下的城市突然响起刺耳的警笛声，警方和疯狂逃跑的冰淇淋车展开夺命追逐。卡文和女友艾瑞丝外出张望，谁知一转眼艾瑞丝竟消失不见，卡文疯了一般四下寻找。现代化的社会，人们依赖影像大刷存在感，却都变成了转瞬即逝的数据碎片……
